LN61 doing up as a keeper-mods for IFS?

Post by retoohs »

Thanks for all the earlier advice on lifting my truck. A lot of advice from here and elsewhere and a lot of different opinions. Decided to get a kit rather than just springs and winding up the torsion bar. Some said not worth spending the money on an old truck, I'm not worried about putting a few dollars into it as plan on keeping and building just what I want, I like the early Surfs. When I initially bought the truck wanted an early one and decided on IFS as often do a lot of km's on tarmac getting to places to 4wd and still find it fine off road. What I want to know here is there any mods that can be done to the IFS? Thanks in advance.

theres only 2 things you can do to your IFS, one is a SAS swap but that defeats the purpose of you wanting IFS, the other is to put an auto locker into the front diff, all the guys that have done this swear by it for aided traction and find they dont smash front diffs/CV's as easily
