Conway River

Anyone interested in a trip up the Conway .Just testing the water at this stage .Never been there but keen for a look.

from the bridge on the inland road to the state hi way its a awesome trip. i would be keen if my engine was back in one piece and run in.

make a weekend of it. halfway down there is a raised bit of land on your left, has a campsite me and Tim made, plenty of wood and plenty of scrub to break the wind. gets cold in there though. A bit further down on the right is what we call the hunters camp. An old hunting campsite with good tree coverage, good fire pit and a long drop. Good for the women. There is a lack of wood there though. Have fun, soft and at times challenging river. watch for the quicksand. head from the inland rd down. If you do it in a day, it canm be a long day. I'm jealous.

That's the one Bill. Got to keep an eye out for it though as it is easy to miss. Unless the river has changed its course back to that side you are a little way from it.

well sump to go on, front plate to go back on the engine do the timing and reassemble pulleys belts etc flywheel clutch find a turbo and drop it back in

then start up
needs more curry

Does this time not suit .I have to work in with the wifes days off which is every second weekend .Does 16th and 17th work better.

This trip is happening on the 17 and 18 April.Im taking the Cruiser and camping the night some where .Me the wife and boy .You need all the usual stuff for wheeling plus camping stuff .Those that are keen let me know .We dont want to double up on camping stuff so we will sort out what each is bringing . cant wait :D

Just take them Bill. I always took my boys in there ov er winter. You just need the right gear for them. It gets pretty hot in there in summer BTW.
