July trip to Westport

Post by worthog »

Can someone help us in showing a small group around a few tracks Westport and north karamea.

We are not looking for any hard stuff, just some mild tracks.

We meet every 2 years from around all NZ and this year we are doing South Island upper.

However my contact Bryan Gilchrist has disappeared from my emails list, so we are looking so someone else to show us around for a day or two

Thanks

Thanks Guys for all the help from the postings

Jerry was the only person who offered any help at all

I would of thought that someone would step up and offer help to fellow 4wders - but no not one other person.

Forget Westport then obviously no 4wd tracks down there that are worth a visit

Once again thanks for your non help

Hello worthog as a preson that heads to westport ofton i can tell you that the 3 people i go 4 wheel driving with have had enough of showing some people round as when they had the big wind about 3 years ago that no one that went there has offered a hand to clean up all there trees that were blown over the tacks. Me and the club i belong to have been cutting trees on one track for the past 3 years and still have a visit left to finish.

Yea I understand that, last time I went over and did some reefton tracks, half our time was spent clearing fallen trees.

Wouldn't be so quick to slag off the west coasters there Larry  from what I understand there arent that many on here. found them really helpful at the drop of a hat... what amazed me was the easy and quick finding of parts .... loads for PR  and only a clutch release bearing on blackdeaths pos  .

Have you been in contact with nuts yet?
