LN130 damaged diff fill plug

Post by Mattman »

Stupid PO has absolutely destroyed the fill plug, there is virtually nothing to get a handle on any more.

I think I might have to mig on a nut so I can get it off - anyone else have any thoughts?

Where do I get a replacement from?

Cheers
Matt.

Use your grinder and trim a wee bit off  then weld some 10mm plate in

You'll never have that problem again and gain 25mm of clearance and if you ever need to drain it just pull one of the bottom two diff studs all good

When you replace the plug, get a new one from Toyota.

Part Number: 90341-18021

This is a plug that you tighten up with a 10mm Allan Key, and is flush on the outer face.

Thanks guys, it's the fill plug not the drain plug that I have the problem with.

Kevin is that the part number for the drain or fill?

It's the same plug, Drain one has a magnet on it. These new one's have a magnet on them, so can be used for your diffs and transfer case as well.
About $5.00 each. Well worth the cost.

Thanks guys, managed to get the old one out today after a LOT of swearing.

You have to wonder why someone would bother putting something like that back in....

Got two new plugs from the stealer, $7.50 each.

Much nicer than the older style plugs.
