where can I find rules / specs etc for cages, what I would like is a 6 point internal cage which goes from main hoop behind drivers seat to back of boot(but still be able to use back seats hopefully?) and then want to brace out through side centre window to full exo cage

does anyone have the specs I'm going need to work to or can you point me in the right direction website wise

Can't help you in regards to were to get info but i do know it can be done as there is a guy down here (Invers) that has got full internal cage in his terrano.
Hes got a hoop behind front seats and same behind rear seats. They are linked along were grab handles above door are with a v brace inbetween. The rear hoop is then braced back down to th floor in the usual fashion. Both hoops have a diagonal brace but as yours is a three door could be an issue
Hope this helps. As far as i know this is all certed as he uses it alot on the road.

Do you need the back seats?
If you never use them you can take them out and cert it as a 2 seater, opens up more cage possibilities.

yeah unfortunately u really do need rear seats,go out a lot with 3 people minimum usually 4.I do realise it would make things a lot easier but ill see what I can do then maybe have a think.if I was going to remove rear seats id probably just look at getting a single cab ute and going full on comp truck, I'm more hoping for a decent exo cage with a reasonable internal cage to help give it the strength required to hold up

thanks for the input though, all ideas are being considered

That looks like a little more than a "small" incident  what happened?

Roll cage specs can be found in...

NZFWDA trials rules http://www.4x4trials.co.nz/documents/forms/2010/CompetitionRegulations2010.pdf

ORANZ rules http://www.oranz.co.nz/index.php?page=forms-docs

CCDA rules http://www.ccda4wd.com.au/

Any of those are ok for winch challenge (if you get the urge to compete one day) as well as the motorsport nz specs. But you will need to talk with your certifier and discuss what's the go, and what's not.

well I cant actually tell you exactly how it happened as ive got no memory from just after I dumped the clutch to just before it rolled, went to the doctor and said will it come back as I think I bumped my head at some stage and he said no.he's pretty sure that because I was hyped up and have a good day out i may have gotten too much adrenaline and passed out, that's the only way i could remember everything before and after but not in the middle so yeah, launched truck from a short run up,ended up being 1 truck width off the track,ie lhs wheels where right should have been and rolled it onto drivers, roof then passenger side, pulled it back over, kicked out the windscreen and drove her home,no major structural damage, just dented panels

thanks for the links, ill go through and read them all and see what I can put together
