Spent another day up at the farm, managed to find and put trucks through the last of the stages we wanted and spent some time making a couple longer ,A huge thanks to all those who have been up there these past weeks ,without guys like you these events wouldnt happen.. :D
I must say it makes a huge change to be 7-8 weeks out from the comp and have all the stages already sorted and driven ,That has to be a first  We can now spend a bit of time being a bit devious on some of the stages just because we can"

Hi all,

Its that time of year again that we are looking for Marshals for the Superwinch Tough Truck Winch Challenge (formally the Norwest Winch Challenge)

The competition is being held over easter weekend - 22nd, 23rd, 24th April 2011

We need your help with marshaling to ensure the competition goes ahead and runs smoothly!
So if you are available to marshall please send me the following details.

Name
Phone numbers (home and mobile please)
Email address
Days you are available to marshal
Your marshaling experience (or if it is your first time)
If you have a PRS radio you can bring.
If you have high vis you can bring.

Let it be known that this is a closed event and the only way to watch is to marshall for at least a half a day
If you marshall you will have access to come and watch the event on all of the event days, even if you don't marshall on every day.

Count down is on. And once again I'm spending time in the shed working on the truck with only a few days to go :? At least its only mods, that can be left undone not repairs.

Who else is arriving Thursaday Arvo?
Toy - Zuk chassis tub, hilux 4.88 axles and transfer, Nissan CA18DE motor and auto trans, sc12 supercharger, 32 10'5 simex, twin motor 8274 custom freespool. Well the parts are all there in various corners of the shed

Our truck is still in the shed, going to get wired Monday.
By the sounds of things now, we will be arriving Thursday arvo as well now.

Is there any other entries that have come through? Not many in club class.

As this is a working farm access is limited at the farmers request .unless you are part of the event you wont be taking your truck over the property but in sayig that you wont be turned away if you want to watch .it will mean a walk of approx 10/20 mins depending on what day you were there.

Hi mate first of they must part of the team racing as the name suggests there to support race team (not just a hanger on there for a look and drive over the farm) they must have
to drive on farm

mud tyres
fire extinguisher 2kg total min
first aid kit
nz4wda membership
hi viz vest

cheers Steve
Ps Remember that the Race team is responsible for their support vehicles If they act like idiots and f#ck up the whole team is gone.no execeptions

Hi Mate Technically you should have the same .but at a bare min you should have mud tyres the rest we can sort out on the day .If its wet without mud tyres you had better bring a change of under wear  you will need it ". worst case scenario we can get you to and from stages.Steve

Yep found out that a stock standard Terrano with Sats at road pressure dont cut it up there when wet .did a couple of backward slides after failed hill climbs that were not nice especially when your sliding towards a rather large drop off.You know that alls not well when your Co driver bales half way and leaves you to it
