MARSHALLS REQUIRED WELLINGTON - PLEEEEEASE

The 2011 Kiwi 4x4 Challenge is nearing and we need your help to marshall the event........................

It will be run in Rallywoods on the sat/sun of Queens Birthday weekend ( 4/5th June )

The format is 10 teams of 3 trucks per team and they will be attempting stages over 2 days.
The marshalls will be required to oversee an area which will have a group of 2-3 stages that the teams will do one after the other before moving onto the next group of stages.

Primarily you will be timekeeping the stages in your area, so unfortunately it will not be the most wonderful job in the world, but volunteer marshalling is about helping out and seeing awesome trucks attempt very challenging stages

There is no financial reimbursement for this job, but later in the year we will be thanking those who helped with a dinner or something similar.

I did this last year and it was great.. skid do not under sell it. As long as there is a fire and some beer afterwards it is good Great way to get involved, meet some cool people and see some pretty freaky shit (Levin boys as entering again - I like their attitude when it comes to tricky obstacles)

righto folks, could you please add your name to the post of marshalls for this event

we have sorted out the stages as of today and have 9 sets of stages totalling 18 stages plus a night stage as well.

So we need at least 9 marshalls but more would be helpful, coz then at least you got someone to talk to.

the plan is to have you marshalling a specific group of stages but leading each group to and from the airstrip so they don't get lost.
We have determined that at least 2 or 3 of the sets will need a capable 4wd vehicle to get to them, then we have 3 that you can drive a car to and another 3 that only a short stroll to.

we also plan to try and get the marshalls up there the weekend before to go over a few things with them

I can give you the easy hazards at the end of the airstrip to marshall, where the boys will be able to ride quads etc
