Mudstar prices?

Post by mudgripz »

Have a mate wanting to buy some 32" N889 mudstars but seems prices have gone up in last week or two. Does anyone know where there are still good deals on prices for the 32s? Were available here in Chch recently for $225 per tyre.

Thanks.

Ace113 in Chch has 31's listed on tardme for $220, but the prices I have been getting for 32's has been around $265.

Apparently they are a 'short' 32 and only measure slightly taller than some 31's.

dont give out distributor details.
they cant sell direct to the public and they don't deal direct with the public, they only supply tyre shops.
so its pointless ringing damien and besides he doesn't want his details put in a public forum.

last time you put out his details he wasn't happy about it
needs more curry

and to answer your question mike, tyre prices are shooting through the roof, specially due to the price of rubber going up and oil and fuel prices which increase freight costs. tyre manufactures have been holding off for as long as they can but now they have to put prices up unfortunately.

goodyear/dunlop have increased prices by 15% 2 weeks ago

A lot of distributers will sell direct to public but they charge the same as a normal shop will. Maybe not applicable to all items however a lot of stuff is sold like that.

Business must be good then if they don't want to sell tyres.

I enquired about those tyres a while ago. At no stage did he say he wouldn't sell to me directly. In fact they were more than happy to sell me tyres on a cash sale basis.

Never mind, I won't recommend them any more.

You may be digging yourself a hole man. Just check to see if he minds being mentioned. Its easy enough. Some people don't like it and it can also mean the end of any deals you may have gotten or been able to get.

they are a wholesaler/distributor they dont deal with general public. last time you splashed his details on here i showed him and he wasn't very happy about it.

dont get ya panties in a bunch either. you wouldn't be getting them any cheaper than the rrp on them thru a tyre shop anyways.

their always selling tyres, to tyre shops.

I don't know who has a wedgie but I don't.

I have edited my post and hope this settles the matter.

Hopefully the OP has found a good deal.
