Not sure if this is the right section, but I've been slowly fixing up an LN65 Hilux over the past 18months. So far have put in a reco'd 2LT (well was told reco'd) and a new custom CT20 turbo. Also ditched the G52 box for a W56 and had all the rust cut out of the cab and patched.
I have a limited mechanical knowledge especially with diesels and have just been fumbling along figuring out as much as i can along the way. It is running reasonably well, but a few niggling things are bothering me (cold start not working, bit a leak round line to diesel injector etc).
The truck is dereg'd and I'm at a point where I need to decide whether it's worth goin the path of getting it on the road again or just using it as a bush truck, ideally I want it road legal again.
Just wondering if there is anyone with a bit of knowledge on diesels and 4x4's in general that wouldn't mind having a quick look over it and see what they think. Don't want to go blowing a whole lot more money on it trying to get it road legal for nothing.
I'm on the North Shore in Auckland, any help much appreciated.
Cheers
Brad
