Re: 22nd to 25th April
just got back from Round 6 of the National trials at Mt Egmont, excellent day and one VERY well run event.
lots of roll overs and a little bit of carnage to entertain the punters

Was good to catch up with Dan (DR_PC) again, oh and I have to pass on that the Digger recovery Drivers on the day where just awesome, was as entertaining watching them recover trucks as it was watching the trucks get stuck.

Re: 22nd to 25th April
Got the Fiva started again.
The tapping noise is still there, and we think it might be from incorrectly adjusted tappets.
Yay, more stuff to fix.

Re: 22nd to 25th April
well went to pauanui in coromandel, half way there upper radiator hose splits, thatl teach me for not dropping the radiator after body lift,
, lucky im well prepared with something that i managed to make make do, then as soon as i head into the hills it starts getting hot every time i try to go up a decnt hill, after alot of pulling over i realise my 'new' front and under skid plate has eff all airflow, take theat off and i finaally get to the destination '4 HOURS LATER' (usually a max 2 hour drive). so i refill with new coolant and drop the radiator, and drop the radiator and head home today, and the bitch still tries gettng warm up a bigggg hill, so tomorrow is tim for some new hoses and put that bottom part of my shroud back on and maybe add a transmission cooler and get some more viscous fan oil and see if that helps . oh also soort out some holes for that bash plate

Re: 22nd to 25th April
Yes, spent the weekend helping out on the Winch Challenge.
Great farm, Awesome trucks and the one with a GOD winch will be something to watch when the bugs are sorted.
Rain stayed away, And best of all no one DNF on my last stage.
Time to clean out the truck and take a breather.

To correct you that was not a GOD winch as it is differently set up, but it was the fastest winch out there of the lot.
Also spent the weekend marshaling which was fantastic, weather was great and the worst of it stayed away as kbushnz great farm and auesome tracks.

Used a big rock to do some panel works at Superwinch Tufftruck

Happy as with 3rd place in challenge class.

Yeah, saw the footage from 4wd Tv, can't wait for that to screen. Mean rock.
Good Comp.

Re: 22nd to 25th April
Spent most of the weekend marshalling at Tuff truck
lucky it finished yesterday after the rain we had last night. The stages I was on would have turnned to custard pretty quickly in todays weather
Congrats to Tim for Winning the Challenge Class and Dan the Modified Class.
With Dan being the Overall Winner and the only truck to get no penalties all weekend
I had 3 TG Thompson Solenoids on trucks competing with no problems and doing some pretty hard winching, I guess that means they are Competition tested
Cheers
Brett

Guess I wont moan about craking my bonnet on the same rock. Although the orange paint I scraped off doesnt really match my yellow.
Great weekend at Superwinch Tough Truck. We have nothing to be un happy about, 1st in class and 1st overall, only monor bits of damage (thak god the front diff pumpkin dent didn't quite get to the crown wheel), no DNFs and no penalties.
Well done to Steve, Tony and the crew from Nor West OHV club top event with an awesome range of stages, and despite the above photo no real truck killing stages.
Oh and in case anyone cares I was driving 1 of only 2 4 cylinder trucks and run a mildly modded 8274 for a winch. Who needs a V8????
Toy - Zuk chassis tub, hilux 4.88 axles and transfer, Nissan CA18DE motor and auto trans, sc12 supercharger, 32 10'5 simex, twin motor 8274 custom freespool. Well the parts are all there in various corners of the shed
