anyone know of a good diesel v8 for a surf

Think you will find that most of them have a fairly serious weight disadvantage for a surf. Having said that, it can be got around, it just takes a lot more work :P

dont know the specks but have a look at the 4.5ltr diesel in the 70series cruisers wouldnt be much weights differance than the 4ltr1UZ and power out put is similar

How much would a Toyota Diesel V8 set you back though... Driven a few before in the 70 series and they are beautiful engines but I think you could buy a Surf and several 1UZ's (in case you blow one up) for less than the price you could obtain a diesel V8, it'll be nice in a few years time when they are more available.

yeah thought about those but cannot find any but only been looking on trade me. have found a 1uz for 1600
