What im refering to is standard leaf sprung hilux, with all but the mounting eye and the second long leaf in each spring pack taken out, spring retainers put on the top of the diff housing and the chassis rail and a coil spring added

Looking at trying this setup to improve the ride quality off road, not so worried about increasing the travel alot, it seems easier in theory than cutting and fabricating mounts etc for say a prado or safari adaption as it also withdraws the need for a track rod or changing the steering.
So any advice etc would be good
