difference between petrol and diesel gearboxes

hey guys just after a bit of info on the petrol and diesel gearboxes for a d21 terrano i maybe able to get a diesel gearbox for a spare for my petrol is there much differance? if so whats diff?

Bell housing is different. To my knowledge they can't be changed as they are cast as part of the box itself :roll:

oh bummer what about the transfer case? lower ratio?

Transfer is the same....i think.
Different ratios are in the diffs.
Chur.
