it has just rolled off my factory tent floor with the engine Suzuki should have put in it.

was its first real offroad test . engine bay sealing and waterproofing still to be completed , hence the reason for staying out of the holes.

plus it isn't mud at woodhill its sandy sticky grinding paste , that sets into grinding concrete .
which once you realize the damage it causes you will tend to avoid it.
personally I think most if the tracks at woodhill don't require much skill to drive , just a heavy foot , large tyres and HP.

give me a bush track any day.

the jeep flopped cause of the camber of the track , combined with a hole under the rear right wheel and it's narrow track width .

It takes skill to drive in woodhill when you're with your brother in his standard 1600 carbie vitara, trying to keep up with other vehicles that have at least one locker

I'm surprised he went where he did (lucky it was a while ago before it got too wet)

Awesome pics!

I'm guessing from the trees in the background that the actual ground level was higher on the left of this photo/lower on the right side of this photo.

I would have thought if that was the case the jeep would have rolled onto its other side? Can't quite work this one out either.

x 2 for Woodhill clay/sand mix to be like grinding paste - and when it dries it sets like concrete!

Yip was good to get back in the seat for a proper run. Stoked with how it went, had a small issue with the clutch, must've glazed it a bit and slipped for a short while, other than that it ran perfect. I think the truck has been hoping for a good trip cause it seems to run better after the trip than it did before
Unfortunately already back in aussie, it's never long enough.

I can see where that photo was taken, at the entrance to the top mud holes off the main track. there is a washout on the right of the pic and it would be easy to get it wrong there and Jeeps are known for when the going gets a little tough, they lie down for a little sleep   Dare I say it.......have to crawl up that part to keep it all stable

X3 for the grinding paste. I have learned to stay out of the sloppy holes as it takes weeks to clean chassis, brakes, wheels, engine bay and is murder on brake linings :x

Our clubs turn for Patrol this coming weekend (7th, 8th May), so I may be out there both days if any ORE'ers wanna tag along 8)

Pics look good. Can tell where everyone was taken

Cheers,
I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!

Considering how big the park is that is a sure sign you have spent too much time in there

Not bad considering I've only paid once in the last year and a half. I would be the most active club member for patrol.
I went in there a few months ago and paid, Roger said he was going to frame my money because he never gets any off me

yes it was / is an extremely tidy wagon, i talked to him for about 30 mins about it in the morning.
He was a good bloke, and obviously loves his old military vehicles.
Good on him for actually using them for what they were made to do! So many people would just have a vehicle like that sitting away in a shed hiding.

There was very little damage (if any), perhaps the worst damage was getting oil from the engine all over his daughter's jacket ;)

oh that's awesome news.always better when the truck runs better after trip, like you say it just wanted to get out, never know you might have to come back more often so it doesnt get withdrawal symptoms  ,and true, all good, will have to try catch up again next time your back, hopefully my truck will be back on the road by then
