im looking at getting a set of 31x10.5 15 maxxis buck shot or big horn.im not into hard 4x4ing it for my hunting.and do ya no what the price is on the bighorns.also i travil around abit and dont want to buy tyres that will chop out to fast

Mates got some they ate out pretty fast (buckshots)
I think the big horns are bit better got qouted 60000km for 35x12.5s before there none warrentable at 350 a tyre.

Most people find the wear on Buckshots very good. Mine showed little wear after 20000km, the current Bighorns are about average for a "mud" tyre wear wise, but feel better off road.
Personally, for more road milage, buckshot or Nankang Mudstar.

dam expensive. sold a set of 31's few weeks ago, $400 each tyre which in the scheme of things is alot of money to pay for a 31".
nangkang mudstar will give you the most kms but in saying that the tread pattern is identical to the buckshot. and arent as grippy in mud etc as the bighorn.

Coopers or maxxis? 400 a tyre

I got price 2k for 4 fitted an balanced for cooper and
and 375 a tyre for bighorns IN 35 12.5 THOUGH!!!!!


What are coopers like... anyone know

i travil up to turangi once a months that be the furthest i travil on road rest is round tawn witch is 1 or 2 times aweek and over to the east coast hunting witch would be betwen 40 to 80km so need somthing that dont chop out alot and also good offroad as driving on farm tracks witch in winter are fun as.but not fun wen ya carnt get out lol

I would say have a look at Kumho Kl71 as well, i had 33 wore awesome so did my mates 31s.

They a good price and i never got stuck with them, only reason im looking at cooper is cause they arent bringing much 35" tyres in this year.

They awesome cause they multi directional, so if you get stuck going forward (what I found) was they always get u out of shit when you hook reverse!

KL71 have been the worst wearing tyre we have used on work utes. Great off road, but getting 23-35km out of them.
I'd have no problem using them as a second set though

I sold my Kl71 , had done 20000km and only 1.5 mm of wear so found them great, my mate does a 600km round trip most weekends and has had hardly any wear as well

Most of my driving is on seal ,single or river for hunting,

Mate paid 1200 for tyres and rims in 31inch down here in chch.
