Woodhill Safety Patrol. Had a good play in mud. Had to stop and do the compulsory poser shots at the lumps
No recoveries until 4:30 and it was the furthest away from the entry/exit gate
No one ever rolls on my watch

One of the guys got a bit close to a tree and this was the result,

Day 2 tomorrow

You should come up tomorrow if the zuk isn't broken.
Perfect conditions, nice packed sand and greasey clay.
Whatta you say?

Re: 7th 8th may
Pulled my new (old) PTO winch down to give it a birthday, needs new seals and a few bits require straighting.
Once finished it will be fitted as a mid mount.

Good shot Graham!

Well today I had 4 Steel wheels (exact same as the ones on my Lada, and also with tyres) dropped off. Only cost me $100 and a box of Speights

So now I can have the muddies from the Fiva left out as spares, and it can sit on the new wheels.
Was going to try get a WoF on the Lada, but the cheap Asian WoF place wasn't open

I would love to but the zuk is still up north and I still haven't fixed the front diff properly, but the quicksteel patch seems to be holding up good on all the shitty roads up north. As long its all good on the trials i will be happy.
I am getting serious mud withdrawls

Looks like you get quite good articulation in the front, is that just because of no sway bar?
Re: 7th 8th may
My lada's been parked in storage since november last year (while I play with the suzuki), swapped the two over on friday afternoon so I could get a bit of work done on the lada, when I put it away the steering was F####d!!
Spent sat and sun pulling it all out and repairing the damage. had to add strengthening plate to inside frame rail and another to outside frame rail!
With this lada having a toyota liteace diesel engine and powersteering off something else, clearance is a pain in the arse!
Be good to get it up and running again though...

It's just more fun in a lada !!
Re: 7th 8th may
Got the lawns done before the back yard gets to messy with more rain.
Finally got the wifes car up to our standards consisting of:
Rebuilt gearbox, Resprayed spoilers and touch up scratches, fix the air vent changer switch thing, fixed the fan as it was making this clunking noise, full interior groom and service and now we are happy with it.
Also gave the bighorn a birthday got a service and the wife gave it a groom as well but shes going to get dirty next weekend if I get to woodhill.

Re: 7th 8th may
Today I tried to align the Lada TC... Again.
Kinda worked, but wanted to get it better, and just made it worse
I also cleaned up the new wheels for the Fiva. Look pretty good when cleaned up, just a bit of rust to get rid of.
Lastly I cleaned and re-gapped the sparkplugs.
Almost ready for the Whangarei trials...

O and now she wants to sell it haha ahh well we will see Im enjoying it to much lol and its actually quite cheap to run.

Went for quiet drive up Maratoto on Sunday to see how the track had stood up to the summer season.
Lots of water damaged, some deep ruts developing, ABC rock is a complete mess, been lots of vehicles stuck there recently chewing it up, even the high line is rooted. Gonna be hard work for the tree planting people on the 22nd

Re: 7th 8th may
spent Sat in Palmerston North picking up my new toy

(This ones Identical to mine) Gamo Shadow 1000 with the GRT-III Trigger mod
got it to deal with the serous possum problem we have around here, netted over 800 grams of fur already and thats without leaving my armchair! just been leaving the patio doors open and potting the little bastards as they come up to steel the cat food @ 15 meters
Sun was spent going over the truck in preparation for the Norwest OHV club's visit to our neck of the woods, we are taking a bunch of the boys out to one of our play areas on Sat then to Whangas Road on Sunday .. should be fun. depending on how many call outs I get I might only be able to do the Sat .. will see. looking forward to it, Last weekends run had to be canceled due to the weather, keen on playing with the stubby leaver again.

Yes, looking forward to coming down to visit. I hope there is no postponements this weekend due to the weather

It will be great to meet you guys and gals and check out your playground. Have been madly working on the truck to repair and reset the "wear & tear" from two days of abuse doing Woodhill patrol.
Sunday was not a good day for me at Woodhill. Did all of the harder tracks, and the new tracks too. It was really wet and slippery on the clay. During the course of the day I managed to tap the back of the shineyest truck in the club

Sorry Hilux Dan.
Looked under the truck yesterday and found most of the crossmembers repositioned. Nothing that couldn't be pulled back into place with the aid of the winch

I have a few suspension issues to sort in the next couple of days, but all should be sorted by Thursday night ready for departure early Friday morning for the trip down to the Naki.
Cheers,
I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!

Its a air rifle and they aint a toy, they can easily fire a pellet at over 1000FPS and can easily kill a human in the wrong hands.
Re: 7th 8th may
Heres some footage from Sunday. Most of the good stuff is on the other's cameras. Thanks Drurban for holding my camera
Film never does these hills and off-cambers any justice.
Enjoy next weekend boys

Yip. We did a bit of spade work while waiting for the last punters to turn up to leave, so it should be almost drivable now

They are NOT a Toy. demands the same respect/safety rules as a "real" gun.

Yet you happily sit in a chair inside a door where you have significantly restricted vision and shoot out it at possums

Toy - Zuk chassis tub, hilux 4.88 axles and transfer, Nissan CA18DE motor and auto trans, sc12 supercharger, 32 10'5 simex, twin motor 8274 custom freespool. Well the parts are all there in various corners of the shed
