Works like the old Juno coal fires? Nice. My folks owned a Juno coal fire. They were great!
A pellet fire that isn't dependent on 240volts has to be good.
Good luck with the sale Bob.

Pete!! Well done, you are the first person I have spoken to for 30 plus years who knows about Juno fires.

Thanks for the good wishes.

:D

The only down side to Mum n Dads Juno space heater was (and I hate to bring it up). Was. That if the lid at the top where you poured the coal into, wasn't sealed up properly? The air would creep in burning ALL the coal.
I'll never forget being the first one up in the morning, hearing the water cylinder boiling over and walking into the living room to a 40+ degree room.
That only happened a couple of times before who ever filled it up in the evening made sure the seal was clean.
Ahh the good old days. I miss em.

Pellet fires put out great heat but unfortunately the pellets are only made by 1 company & they are constantly putting up the price of the pellets & now they are damn expensive to run....2 of my family have now got rid of there & goneto cheaper forms of heating .

Thats not strictly correct, Sam, to my knowledge, theres are outfits in Huntly, Rotorua and Chch making the pellets, and Natures Flame send them to me for $650 per tonne delivered and staked in my storage area.

I can buy them from Mitre Ten for "only" $15 per 20KG bag, or $750 per tonne PLUS frieght costs the bastids!!!

We get them for $8.17 here in Chch at Placemakers and get a further 10% off that too with the Know How card. That's for 15kg bags as we cannot get 20kg bags any more. Ours works out cheaper than yours..............
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.

This Leda "pellida" also comes as a wetback version. It would probably take an email to Germany to see if this one could be converted. Wetbacks are a brilliant idea, If our house was a different shape, I would have a wetback in my EF3 feeding the Bosch gas thing thats bolted to the kitchen wall.
