Silica Bronze is the way to go.
Factory plastic ones are better than the rubber/nolathane ones from BNT :? Thrashed them out in 1 trip
How have you strengthened it?
I found my idler shaft had heaps of wear in it and caused the movement that flogged the bushes. I found that the thrust/sealing washers are supposed to crush a wee bit and provide support for the idler on the shaft.
Cheers,
I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!

What tyres are you running? any torsion lift? I just got a brace for mine, but am now worried about buggering my brandnew draglink as iv heard they are weak in terranos and it'll be fucked within 3 trips....

im just running 31s atm but hoping to upgrade at some stage to 33s no torsion lift atm have had to take gearbox out to do front seal of the gearbox so might do a lift but brace on arm has worked so far and brace on the bolt that holds idler arm works well i have a new drag link aswell hasnt done anything to it so far and i dont think it will as the idler arm wont or shouldnt bend now but i do think its illegal to have anything welded to steering... i know naughty lol but sick of having to change idlers all the time out on trips..

hopw this helps...

Ok sweet as, brace for my idler is just bolt on no welding to the idler needed. hoping it'll be strong now.
