opinions wanted on new 4wd maybe?

ok ive been thinken of a new 4wd to use on club trips grade 4-5 and touring round the nz at at moment ive got a 1990 hilux double cab.
this will not be a daily driver and i plan to use 35" tyres. and prefer to be coil sprung

i quite keen on a 80 series
or a turbo swb safari due to being 6 cylinder and diesel turbo with very strong factory running gear.
there is one other opption i would consider and that is a kzj78 prado with 1kz.

i worried about the weight of the 80 series tho and thats how i came up with the swb safari but the longer wheel base of the 80 means we could sleep in back on weekend trips
so that then brings in the kzj which id assume lighter than the other two and still room in back and has coils

a couple of questions how good are the td42 turbo motors? i.e with 300,000kms are they still strong? also i know buying a factory turbo would be better but whats the engine life on a no-turbo factory with turbo kit like?

i know its a balancing act as to what i want and im after opinions on how other people would balance it?
