Maratoto closed for 2011 winter

The gate at Maratoto is now closed for the winter. There may be some working bee's however to repair a section not far from the gate that is close to slipping away and may do so after the next heavy rain. The work will require tools to break rock to allow a re-alignment of the trail.

yes that rock near the entrance needs to be broken away had a very scary experience on it and couple of w.e's ago, didnt realise how sloppy the dirt beside it had become
