Toyota rear Rotors for 78 Prado same as 80 series.?

Hi guys,

Just doing some research on the prado rear rotors for the 71-78 series and some of the part numbers cross over to the rear rotors off the later model 80 series cruiser.

Does anyone know if they are the same rotors.?

Ive so far found 3 toyota part numbers matching both the lj78 and 80 series, these are 311mm OD, 18mm thick and hub 106mm, which arent toyota all 110mm hub bore.????

Im replacing my rear rotors for a cert and having trouble finding the correct aftermarket part numbers with all the shops wanting to see them and measure them and im at work so cant do that.

BNT have part number TR793 but bnt rotors are not the best so would rather pay a little more for better, DBA are DBA794 but a little pricey for a 4x4 toy.

If you just want to replace the Lj78 ones...Then goto NZ Brakes Co.
Cheapest you will find.
They are in Henderson AKL.

I have a file somewhere on my PC with specs for disc's, just cant locate them.

Google Brembo... they have an online catalog with dimensions.

The dimensions I have suggest that the early 80 series rotors are the same in every dimension except the height (or the distance between the wms, and the back side of the rotor), 68mm vs 103mm for the 80 series.

Can't remember where I got those measurements from, so not sure if that's correct or not?

Edit: actually height might be between wms and front side of rotor, not sure either? Oh and the numbers I have say 312mm OD and 106mm ID.

Cheers for the help on this, i ended up having enough meat left on them so had them machined for $50 so saved some coin aswell.

they may be the same in pre 92 80 series, but after that you can't fit 15" wheels to 80 series but you still can on prado's so I would say the later ones are different in some way
