Terrano WD21 2.7T economy
Hi,
Interested to hear what sort of mileage other people are getting from their Terrano 2.7T wide body WD21 (stock standard... for now) on 265/70R15s.
I'm getting about 1:9.4, not great I'd have thought.
I do about 50/50 motorway/city commute to work, which is most of my mileage.

Manual or auto? mines real bad, get bout 450-500per tank, 15l/100kms... its auto
Re: Terrano WD21 2.7T economy
My old manual i used to get 600-650ks open road thrashing the crap out of it. Never reall y checked round town cause it never seemed thirsty enough to care about
Toy - Zuk chassis tub, hilux 4.88 axles and transfer, Nissan CA18DE motor and auto trans, sc12 supercharger, 32 10'5 simex, twin motor 8274 custom freespool. Well the parts are all there in various corners of the shed
Re: Terrano WD21 2.7T economy
the best i got in my old one was 800 km, driving like a nana, normally i got about 650 to a tank.
Re: Terrano WD21 2.7T economy
I get 650-700 per tank. Used to get much less with no turbo.
A couple of weekends ago drove from Stratford, through the forgotten Highway, 1/2 way up Whangamomona Road and back, then up to the North Shore. Jumped in it over this weekend and it still had 1/4 of a tank. These machines are super economical.
Cheers,

I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!
Re: Terrano WD21 2.7T economy
how many litre tanks do the terranos/navara d21's have ?
Re: Terrano WD21 2.7T economy
I think my Terrano is 75 litre, but never use the last 5 or so litres.
Dunno about the Navara.

I get around 450-500 per tank which is 60l, which is about 12-14l per 100 km auto with 31s. Thats mostly country driving. I think that it should be doing heaps better than that.

Re: Terrano WD21 2.7T economy
autos don't generaly give as good milage as manuals but wouldn't have thought it be that big a difference.
First place i look is the trans. last auto i had was gave crap milage but after a good service/flush it dropped 3litres per hundred
.
Other than that i'd check the usual stuff - filters, injectors, pump

Thanks for all the posts.
Mine's a manual btw.
Looks like my mileage isn't too bad then.

Re: Terrano WD21 2.7T economy
I just did some testing. With my 31x10.5 mud tyres i get 11.5l per 100km, i just went to auckland 200km exactly with my mates 30x9.5 all terrains on and got 9l per 100km. the same journey that i did to get the 11.5l per 100.
