looking at buying a 1998 isuzu wizard

as the topic said im looking at buying a 1998 isuzu wizard
its not the 3.1 diesel turbo one but a 3.0 diesel turbo
any info on them would be good thanks
good or bad info

Check out clubisuzu.com. not many good things said about the 3.0 motor from what I have read.

I agree with Mattman go to that site he suggested alot of good info on there and a great bunch of people on there too.

Yeah not to sure about the 3.0.

If I were you go for the 3.1 despite what everyone says about them, it is a good solid engine with lots of grunt and low down torque when you need it.

the 4JX1 engines are prone to oil senders leaking and buggering the looms but they are avaiable new from holden for around 4 hundy bux. the injectors, if stuffed can be up to $2g for a set (if you can find some)

otherwise they ok i guess

can get it very cheep and wasent going to 4x4 it just for the wife to drive and to tow the boat

common fordesiel to get into the oil the injector seals fail i wouldnt touch one with a 10 foot pole. on a side note if its dirt cheap chuck 3.1 or my fav a 2.8 in. then you'll have a good solid donk to have fun

done a bit moor reading about the motors and nothing good come up
