winch solenoids

Post by Timmy511 »

hi, ive just fitted a new winch to my truck, spent ages doing so fabricating etc, finally get it done, wire it up and it only spools out! so i swapped the wiring round on the solenoids and got it to spool in but now it wont spool out, both solenoids click but im noit sure those china men have wired it up correctly, has anyone got a diagran or a detaild picture of the solenoid box on theyre cheap china winch? mines a ridge ryder from super cheap auto but im sure theyre all the same.

any help much apreciated, cheers.

cheers fella, unfortunatly thats a seal contactor, mines two silver solenoids.

pissed about with it for ages tonight, cant figurew it out, most diagrams (warn winches mainly) show 4 solenoids. with mine having two its hard to find a wiring diagram.

is this a tiger 11 winch?? i have the same problem when i fitted mine. Cant remember the colors, but there is a small wire (Black i think) that attaches to a large contact on the motor. when i looked closely at it it had a clear varnish like substance covering it. i cleaned it off, reconnected it and haven't had a problem since.

It isn't a Tigerz11 Winch or Solenoid, we have never used solenoids like that!!

Did you get this sorted?

Depending on what part of the country you are in, you could borrow one of our TG Thompson Solenoids to try and check that the winch will work. :D

Give me a call or PM me.

Cheers
