I think people sas fairly modern trucks in the states, try a google search, I think they're called a Toyota tundra? Might be similar to the hilux.

Hi, the main difference compared to the older luxs is that i think like the 185 surf's and 95 series Prados they use a T/case with a front output on the Left instead of the Right so there inst a Toyota diff casing with a left side pumpkin. I think most will flip a front 80 series housing but not 100% sure on that.
And they are quiet a bit wider than any older Hilux based trucks so the width of the 80 series casing is the better option.

the 02 luxs (shape befroe sheep shager) are same width diffs as the ifs surfs etc, the sheep shagers you have to use 80series and chop section diff

Oh right that model, i just thought it was the new shape when clearly you stated it was 02 so i should read things more clearly

I think they have the front output on the right side like all the older Lux's so the best diff would prob one from a 71/78 series Prado and they are High Pinion and have slightly stronger cv's aswell.
But if keeping leaves and using the Prado housing you would have a bit of grinding and fabricating to do so it would be easier and also give you a much nicer ride if you used the entire Prado coil set-up with radius arms etc then you could easily find a rear diff from a 130 surf and throw that under the rear to have a fully coiled truck.
If staying leaves it would be a easier option to use a older model front housing with the leaf perches as per factory.
other guys that know more about this stuff might chime in soon and give you more in depth ideas and solutions
