Hey guy's,
Not a 4wd related problem but i'm hoping one of the technologically advanced members on here may be able to assist.
I have a 1996 Ford Falcon EL Gli Station Wagon. When i purchased it it didnt have the remote for opening the doors etc so I bought one yesterday. Unfortunately, I cannot get the car to go into "Programme Mode" to allow me to get the remote activated.
The rear demister button works both on the dash and on the rear glass but the locks dont cycle when it is pushed three times when the key is turned to the first click as per the instructions.
I have tried leaving the battery unhooked over nigth and tried again this morning once it was all connected again but nothing - any ideas appreciated as its so frustrating!

Hi There
Make sure you have the doors closed and radio off as any voltage draw can affect it. The ford garages can enable or disable the remote programming function
with their computer and it might be a case of getting either a garage or a locksmith to programme the remote for you.

cheers mate - took to Ford dealer today and they did it in a matter of seconds. Did exactly what I had done with the demister button and it worked! I felt like a right tool!
