Surely it'll still work ok in one of those large grooves indicated where the weld is?

ah yes thats because the tosser didnt know how to assemble properly and thats the reason why people should have a NZFWDA license before they would be allowed to buy a welder :lol: that will stop all of this unwanted energy being consumed when the idiot should be inside doing the dishes not playing with 4X4 wheels and associated bits and peices :wink:

I reckon you will find that the tag on the spring has broken and that is what is being welded back on. Pretty bogan, but probably did the job as well.

it does not look like the weld makes it to the spring tho

more of the weird and mysterious that peolpe do in the privacy of their own sheds

The weld doesn't touch the spring and from I can see the tab is still there.

My guess is that this guy has experienced taking one of these off in the bush and having it come apart and dropping bits in the mud :-)

I have an additional clue to the mindset of the person. Both hubs were in a tied bread bag, inside a tied shopping bag, smothered in oil
