Trademe "Mudbits" in tauranga-Opinions?

Post by Pahoia_Predator »

Hi
while i was looking for my first 4x4 a samurai i went to view one at mudbits in tauranga. It was advertised as an awesome deal on TM.
but a few things we a bit misleading like the speedo number was much lower than number on cam-belt case and there were other little unwarrantable things that scared me away. I was a little disheartened as mudbits has a lot of parts and now that i finally found a nice wee samurai i am wondering if i should buy from them (they are very close to where my parents live so it is very convenient to buy off them also).

Has any one else here dealed with them and what do you think? Should i buy from them in the future?

...i want to start to rebuild a 1300 injected motor to drop in my new suzi!

nice Zuk 8)

Tard bits definalty has the manoply on Zuk bits in the North Island.
he has been sourcing from farms etc and wrecking zuks for years for profit

well known to be expensive and likes to make trucks up from bits and try to sell them for a premium

still lots of parts to be had though
http://www.suzispares.com.au for aftermarket and genuine Suzuki parts.

Te-puki parts world - another suzuki specific dealer.

best option is to just ask the Zuk fraternity. most of us have parts in the shed , and may be willing to part with them (knowing they are going to good use) for a reasonable price.

Well ill take your adivce...

Does anybody have the parts to get me started on a 1300 injected motor rebuild..preferably in the north island?
the engine that is currently in it has a bit of life left in it but i want to start working on another one to reduce the time without a 4x4.

start a new thread about the motor , zuk etc under a better heading .

go in to account settings and add where abouts in NZ you are.

are you looking for a 13a ie 1324cc or a 13ba / 13bb 1298cc block? fuel injection parts should swap over but blocks are different
