Just got over the flu and found the Hilux had a bit of that diesel bug.. ironic

Ripped out fuel tank, washed n dried, flushed out lines and fitted a new filter..

Can anyone recommend a good diesel additive to kill off any leftover traces of it?

Plan on fitting a clear filter before the main filter next week.

Not good when you find out about it up in the mountains..

after crc thought about applying a little bit of heat from a brazing torch being cast iron a little heat directly onto the stud should be fine not to much mind

using the principle that when you weld a nut onto a broken stud that the heat that is put into the stud helps to unfreeze it as well then soak the hot steel with lots of crc

good luck

Well sat I went and saw Azhar Bamji, Just had a talk to him about having 4x4s at The 4 and rotary nats in Jan next year. He is wanting some trucks to attend the show on Saturday at ASB show grounds in Auckland and then on the Sunday have a course setup down next to the pits at Meremere. It will be a great thing for 4x4s as we get an audience of about 10000 or so. :D

So is anyone keen? It will be run through the NorWest club as I am organising it but we will need more trucks than just our club. Also I need ideas on what kinda course there should be? I was thinking some speed sections, bit of mud. We have about a football worth of space to play around with. Also anybody know digger Drivers and water tank places willing to help out?

Then today slept in , took it easy got board and went wheeling a bit, went to a couple of cool unformed roads, just too wet and slippery. will have to be once it dries out a bit more.

Good weekend :D

Yeah mine went just after I got out if a deep hole.

It was only $30 for a new slave cylinder on my Bighorn that was with a discount though. From memory he said its about $50 retail. He did say the Bighorn ones are more than your average one.

As mine had done 280kms I thought I may as well just get a new one.
