Vitara Double Cab Ute???

Post by mudbugga »

I've seen a pic of a Vitara that's been given the chop and it's now a d/cab ute.
It was done by a place down South.

I could be quite tempted to do something like this 8)

Has anyone done something similar? What are the things to look for or avoid if doing such a thing?
Cheers

Haha I just found the website of the place that does this.
http://www.uteconversions.com/

I'm going to drop them a line and see if they are willing to tell me the best way of doing it.

Tony Richardson does them, he'd do yours too!

Has done almost one of every vehicle but would do almost a suzuki a week.

His current one is beamed front and rear and running a Lexus...
SWB V6 Paj with one or two mods ;)

The missus has found out my plans and is trying to pull up the handbrake (just because we've just bought a house)

I might just have to "back" into something, or maybe something will "fall on it" if there is another shake here, so then I have to remove
the rear end.

Cheers NJ, I'll deff be giving him a buzz soon.

Some of the worst finished Ute Chops Ive seen, Had to do Wof repairs on many of his Suzuki Chops and that Safari Chop is a friends familys. There cut straight down, a sheet of panel steel cut to fit then welded right around the edge attacked with a grinder then a bit of laquer sprayed down the pillars and half the roof.A bit of 25mm box section welded in under the window for strength. Would hate to see one in a roll over.
IMO the C pillar should always be sectioned onto the B Pillar like Suzukisports, very tidy chop.
