How far is the hoop going to be from your head? Depending on rule you build to it must be quite close to comply so way back there is could be on quite an angle.

What are you doing for the front mount? Just a though but I made the mounting point the body mount and the body mount bolt then went through the footing plate as well. This meant that 3 of the bolts snadwiched the floor / body mount and 1 went through to the chassis.

I think which way you go depends on whether you want the chassis to stay attached in major crash or part company.

for cert hoop has to be 150mm behind seats without padding on bars im 250mm with the angle bars anchored to the back of chassis same sort of brackets about 1300/1400mm back ,so 4 points angle should be good no other bars in cab but will have exo cage as well

thought of sandwich plating through the floor but figured would stress the floor panels with body movement i have 8/10mm clearance around the now welded chassis mount so silicone the gap and body can move freely in all the hoop is more added protection due to cutting down to Ute in case of roll over

Is that the "Off Roader" manifold? Did you get the full kit? (looking at options on manifold/turbos at the moment)

Cheers

Just reading through some things again (and got asked a question from an email you sent) and how are you planning on bracing the main hoop if it is going to be an exo cage and you have a well side? The reason I ask is every rollcage spec requires a diagonal brace in the main hoop and it must go from close to bottom mount to the bend at the top. So with a well side you'll have to cut a hole in the panel / floor to get it to work.
FYI I don't think I've seen an exo cage on a full body / wellside that complied with any rollcage spec without some modification after completion.

Re: My GQ Build .........

cheers darinz looks as though im doing a 4 point.....

on another note due to my issues with the fitting i complained to who i bought the manifold from who is offroader off tardme but is also Scarles Performance in auckland....... i at least expected an apology email ph call anything from them i also informed them that my input would be posted on the largest best 4x4 forum in nz (yes i admit i was hoping for freebees to shut me up  ) ..... so 3 manifolds sent before one would line up with all the head bolts, then cutting 10/15mm off the bottom front corner to sit flat, small head bolts are needed to make a spanner fit, plus cut away the panel around the shock tower so the waste gate tube doesn't break off from movement of engine, the t3 threaded bolt holes don't align with the turbo these must be drilled out and nut and bolts used and lastly if you have a pto shaft its gonna be tight getting an exhaust to fit
even talking to them they tell me many of these have been sold im wondering how many other people having issues are these cheaper manifolds worth the hassle compared to the dsr ones my opinion 2c worth/bitch/complaint done

internal waste-gate for cert and wof purposes only then bolt external with screamer pipe exiting through the side of guard below snorkel....yeah yeah boy-racer shit but simple to remove at wof time
always planned to put exhaust through inner guard no going under chassis rail to finish in front of rear wheel wof says all exhausts must exit at furthermost rear door
with this manifold running your exhaust standard way is going to be a nightmare to fit way more room with a dsr one or better still a j-pipe which i plan for the whale....

similar spec to subaru turbo which is a common fit on td42 which is close enough for me will run it on dyno before cranking the boost up

Seriously the work you have to go through for the external WG just isn't worth it. If the boost is under 25psi and egt under 600 it will be fine for what you are going to do with this. The internal gate will be fine and easy.
