Surf rear window prob

The rear window on my surf stopped going and about a week later started.I had it down and now it has stopped again and wont go up .Any ideas as to getting it to go?

Is it a fibreglass canopy or ln130 and newer.
The 60 series surfs have sensors for the rear window in the tailgate opening and where the canopy meets the body. (so you can't wind the window up when the canopy is off).
It's normally one of these that plays up. The canopy one is accessable from behind the internal left hand panel (from memory).
Gotta be worth a try any way

yeah is the older shape surf with the canopy.is the hand panel the 2 pockets where the jack etc is stored?what would the sensor look like?

don't know if this applies to your model of surf, but i had a problem with intermittent rear window on my '89. turns out that if the rear wiper was not seated back properly, the rear window wouldn't work. i only figured it out after about 3 weeks of frustration and cursing and loading stuff in the truck through the rear doors because it rained. any time it happened after that i just turned the rear wiper on again for a second, and it sorted it. hope that is of help.
