early (gen 1) mitsubishi paj front diff wanted!!!

i need a front diff out of a gen 1 v6 man pajero. must be 5.29 ratio. 8" diff i think. anyone able to help? i have a 5.29 gen 2 front diff if anyone needs one? from my understanding it will only fit into a diesel or auto as its a smaller diff. please correct me if im wrong J top...

They did not make a low pinion 8" 5.29, you make it your self with an 8" low pinion, ie gen 1 V6 manual, assembly with an 8" rear 5.29 C/W @ P fitted to it. Then you can fit an ARB, the best commercially available locker

When I do the IFS on it I'm swopping to hilux diffs so its up for grabs

Unfortunately there is no such beast as a 5.29 8 inch front diff, high or low pinion. 5.29 7.25 inch, yes but these will not take the ARB.

To get a 8 inch 5.29 as JTop siad, do it yourself, get a low pinion front end assembly from a V6 which had the 8 inch diff housing (4.8 ratio thou) and then get a 5.29 crown wheel and pinion from the rear of a gen 1 Paj which had an 8 inch rear diff and shoehoen that into the front....... Along with your ARB

i get mixed up every time i try to sort exactly what i need. think id do a SAS before i did for a front locker, but for now ill just settle for the low gears. ok, so i need the 8" front diff out of a gen 1 v6 man pajero, and the cw&p out of a gen 1 diesel with 8" rear and ratio of 5.29. so im not sure i will still need your front diff de ranged, but thanks anyway.

Ok, so why do you want an 8 inch front diff if you are not going to fit a locker then?

It is easy enough to get 5.29's in the 7.25 inch front diff & super select. (2.5 Turbo diesel JTop's...)

my understanding was that the 8" was stronger. i have read the stuff on outerlimits about the reverse cut gears and 30% stronger etc. should i just fit the 7.25" 5.29 front diff i have? im all confused again! ether way ill be keeping all the diffs. just not sure what ones will be going into mine.

also... do the lockers use normal gear oil or do they use lsd oil?
