During the week (my version of a weekend) I replaced the side indicators and the taillights on the Lada.
I then started tidying up the engine bay wiring on the LHS with that plastic tubing stuff until the rain came...
It's looking pretty mint now

Mudhog spent Thursday night under cover in a mates garage after we replaced the engine mounts ( both sides had shit themselves) and decided to check the rear A-frame arm ball joint which was stuffed aswell. Shaun and I managed to get the old one out okay, but then couldn't press the new one back in

So the Hog spent the night under cover, well I got the new ball joint pressed in at a mates engineering work shop with there 100ton press.

I went to fit the dizzy cap I had got, but the HT leads didn't fit the new cap :x the rubber boots were to loose to stay on. I fitted the new rotor and will check if there is a difference between the different makes :?:

All back together last night and feels much tighter to drive all round

Big thanks to Shaun for keep the Hog over night :D

Cheers
Brett

Got the diff-lock compressor sorted today, still don't know way it had stalled :?
Soldered wires onto my front indicator bulbs and hard wired them. That should sort the intermittent function of them out (yes, I do know that indicators are suppose to flash   )
Pre-trip checks done for Woodhill Patrol tomorrow.
Taking camera, so will have pics and some vid to post tomorrow night
Cheers,

Just finished playing under the Prado...
Tacked in rear winch mount points.
Played with the grinder and welder.
Waited for 30 mins to see if I set fire to anything with all the metal globs and sparks.
Getting used to it.... But I am a novice.
Now its time to sit back with a coffee and the Missus / kids and watch her latest purchase HP and the Deathly Hollows....

went to replace the clutch slave, but not only was the slave leaking turns out it wasn't the real issue, so clutch had to come out and the fingers in the pressure plate were wide open and clogged with mud so wouldn't clamp on clutch. a water blast and the crap was mostly gone, fingers are closed but going to take it to get pressure plate tested and get the rest of the crap out hopefully,
needs more curry
