Just finishing my turbo engine has had everything done thats needs to be done,,,have an automotive shop here in Tauranga
Will have a egt and will be fittted and will probably run fairly modest boost ,,
Any feedback and appreciated ,,,,eg bigger radiators,,,fans etc ,,,and any problems with people running high temps? ,,,, at the mo does get up there even with the n/t engine.

Mate I have turboed mine and have electric fans on a good standard radiator. Long pull up hill towing starts to get up there (and I mean 10 mins plus up the rimutaka's) with the fans on but typically outside of the hills I never use the fans at all. Bigger issue is egt's towing uphill so driving to control egt temps typically means my water temp stays under control.

Turbo and intercooler on mine - the only time I've had overheating problems was with the radiator 2/3 full of mud. Tow a caravan all over the place - including some decent climbs like Blenheim up through St Arnaud into a good nor-wester to the West Coast and return up the Buller Valley, through the hundalees sth of Kaikoura, etc. Having said that, I know of another non-turbo with terrible overheating issues, aftermarket alloy radiator, drilled out the water passages in the head, new water pump, oil cooler, etc, and can't get the temp down. So there seems to be an element of luck in it. Although a good first step is an aftermarket temp guage as I think the factory ones are prettty unreliable... I believe the intercooler is a big factor - I've been told the difference is that around 1deg drop in inlet air temp gives 10 deg less in EGT...

with the turbo on mine there is no diff between towing big/little/no loads. Was worse when was n/a. Biggest factor in regards to temps egt or water will be your air/fuel ratio.

I run standard radiator/fan. pushing 10psi through a tdo5 and full turn on fuel screw and a small intercooler. Mates one was always heating up till we turned the fuel down 1/2 turn.So getting the fuel setting right is the key to stop it from getting hot.Look to keep egts below the 600degC pre turbo and you get a good life span out outa your engine Make sure egt gauge is fiitted pre turbo if pos as gives more accurate readings.

If towing then a good sized front mount would definatly be a go.you'll get a good performance boost to :)
