hi all ,,just brought one of these

not sure of where to mount antenna.....

so my question is , anyone in ch ch want a bit of cash or green bottles to gives a hand....

iv got same set up in my zuk

i brought a bull bar mount for antenna works a treat.
would be pretty easy to make one too

p.s we will have to head up river for a run sometime like discussed few months back fell free ta gives a txt (as working 2day) on 0278419678

Mount it any where it wont get ripped off. These anteneas need to be earthed so I am told. I have one, great small little unit.

so be ok to mount to front bar :?: :?: bout the only place it wont get ripped off ....cheers

you got turbo fitted yet Simon....

yup front bar is good mines in middle never had any probs with it getting caught up and no wof problems

some antennas are ground dependant, meaning they need a flat base to reflect off. bit less common so chances are you have the wire one about 400mm tall with a spiral in it. in which case mount it any where it wont get ripped off. bull bars good as its low and you can see when its going to get caught in the scrub and ripped off. mount it with steel so it gets its earth not plasstic or rubber

Those radios look like the new uniden ones ...

Those big ones look like they are designed for the outback and may get knocked off pretty quick, I have these ones in stock which are groundplane independant (can be mounted anywhere)

Can still do the Uniden 7700's as well

just checked radio pic that aerial can be mounted any where. you can get the same aerial without that big tall base too. not sure if you can seperate the one you have tho. neat little units that perform well

and put unit up out of the way,,,,all unplugs so can be moved from scum bags beady little eyes..

seems to work which is a bonus when it comes to wires and me..

That looks ideal where you mounted it, Nah turbo not fitted yet.
