Vitara LSD breakaway torque.

Post by churchill »

Has anyone shimmed up a Vitara LSD and does any one what the factory breakaway torque specification is?

I'm getting 80ftlb by holding the crownwheel still and turning one side gear, they generally say that one side gear should be held still and the other turned, I suspect this would halve my breakaway torque figure. Any comments about this?

I'd love to help, but as that's the slipper I wanted to buy I don't think I will!

Just kidding, good buy mate. Sorry I don't know the info you want but can ask the workshop next week for you if no-one else answers before then.

Cheers

Haha, I gave you a week to get it... :)
I'm talking to Suzuki now to try and get the figures but the guys away at the moment. The current breakaway torque is around 45lbft but I'm keen to get it tighter.
