loch katrine
hey all new to the 4x4 scene and planing 1st overnighter after some info on the track from lake Taylor to loch Katrine i own a wee Suzuki escudo( see under my cars) so if anyone has been up there lately and got info on track conditions or how my car will handle the track would be great to hear from you. thanks
Re: loch katrine
there are two on here at the mo have read. i went in early dec towing a jet boat as far as the loch katrine with no problems. you could drive almost all the way by car if you choose your lines right. but i think the gate may still be up from there onwards.

went up here 18th June 2011
from taylors to loch katrine lots of mud holes none too big
take the track down to the beach at two points if your in a hurry.
Locked gate a third along katrine. Farmer would not give me combo for the gate as said had rams out with the Ewes...

Re: loch katrine
Mud holes are all hard bottomed if you stay on the track, I've towed a little jet boat in there a couple of months back all the way to loch Katrine with my bog std Isuzu Bighorn, no damage to vehicle, no bush scratching either.
