New vehicle options

Two questions for your consideration please;

1. Rubber mud mats. I am advised that if you go for a WOF and have mud mats in the car that are not attached to the floor, your newish vehicle should not be issued with a new WOF. Is this true?

2. If you specify you want manufacturer options fitted to your vehicle (with the exception of items such as canopies which are not supplied by the manufacturer anyhow) should you expect to have them fitted to your new vehicle or can the dealer fit another after market manufacturer? Cheers.

Dunno never heard that one before, if the wof guy dosent like them throw them in the back and tell him to issue the wof

If the dealer wont provide you with the options you've requested/paid for tell him to piss off and go buy the vehicle from another dealer that will

Ive always and so has my old mans fleet vehicles had deep dish flow mats and never had a issue with wofs

and 2nd the dealer should fit what you want to the vehicle but will most likely cost a wee bit more.

The fleet vehicles have tjm bars front rear, mud tyres and a wee lift and it cost half of what it would if I walked into the Tjm man to buy them

I was sure at the time there was a trickle running down my leg re the floor mats. ... but thought best to check elsewhere.

I also prefer the deep dish type muddies not being able to have a vinyl floor option on the vehicle, but also recall at fielddays this year either the nissan navara or tojo having theirs somehow secured to the floor....

I have been told any mats that may interfer with the pedal operation, brake in particular, can be failed for a wof.
If they are clear of the pedals they shouldn't be a problem

I spoke with VTNZ today and they say its an interesting theory (that the vehicle would fail the WOF) but one they haven't heard of.....

i've had that happen while driving. now i remove any mats or bolt them down.

An update: Got the deep dish mats that I wanted and all is good! Actually, absolutely delighted would be an understatement.
