NZFWDA did not promote the tightening of the rules, we simply informed our members of what was happening, and we arranged an exemption for our members.What is wrong with that???
if your truck is lifted less that 100 mm it is unlikely to require a Authority card. if it is currently lifted 100mm that's probably because it has lager tires in which case it should already have a cert, so no change

Yea half the people on here are fully jumping the gun, my hilux runs standard height coils and a 40mm body lift with 35 inch simexs and its plenty high enough and the tyres dont rub anywere.
Cant people read the LESS than 100mm part.?????????????????????????????????????????????

so my truck has 50mm suspention lift and 50mm body lift with factory sized mud tires on it im 100mm lift as is will i need cert or do i shave 5 mm off my body mount bushes to be under and is the 100mm rule available to be seen anywere mate ?

You need a cert for a bodylift, regardless of the size.......

So your farm hack will be running over 4" lift? If not, you should NOT need an authority card.
Nothing else has changed, if you need to get a cert, the rules are the same.

Hi all, as promised i have checked the updates for suspension lifts etc
This is how it stands legally at the moment.
Any suspension lift other than OE must have low volume cert.
Any body lift other than OE must have low volume cert.
Thems the rules as full of red tape and politics as it is thats how it is

The wof rules and regs book at work and also from the updates we get from LTNZ, the latest load of shit was an ammendment update for suspension and lifts
I know it sucks but thats the rules i have to follow as an AVI unfortunately

Oh right thats weird, just asked my neighbour who is a mechanic for Toyota and does wof's for them and they havent heard a thing about this.

Not sure of the date, i wasnt aware of it either untill i checked the updates that i usually look at for two seconds then proceed to wipe my ass with, but it was there in green black and white,will check the date on the update tomorrow and let u guys know

Believe cert is not transferrable between vehicles so yeah itl need to be re certed with each new truck

have told all those that i know of about these new rules and to have their say to the lta. As for whineing on here obviously not much but its good to vent

cut them guards a bit, and reduse the lift to 3" 7/8
just under 4" lift
no aurthority card needed, just a cert which is always the case

3 certs, fuel to and from chch for 3 vehicles...
we rang federated farmers today and a certifier i know quite well..weighed up our options,and have just (in the last hour)decided to deregister 2 of them,keep them farm only and one will be put back to standard form for road use...its just not worth the extra expense when we will most likely replace them next season anyway(usually send them to the wreckers)...no one buys 4x4s that have been used on farms...
id love to do it like crumpy....a nice oldschool hilux would be ideal
