It will, but it aint worth $1500.
Its also an air operated locker, not to be mistaken for an air locker. In other words its a factory locker.

He wants $1200 for a complete front diff, when others are selling them for under half that, with less km's on.
Everything he has listed so far is WAY over priced.

I agree With DaveM it is over priced. If you are concidering spending anywhere near that go for an ARB.

It will bolt in just check that your ratios are the same.

I think the reserve on that one was $1300 in a previous auction (which i think is also too much) you would be better off buying that and putting an LSD in the Rear if you dont have one already.

I have an old patrol LSD you can buy. But as Elmo and I have discovered, there seems to be 2 GQ rear axle sizes?

I'm currently running a rear lsd, but it need an overhaul.
May just stick with it and go for the front lokka at some stage.

Elmo has a 2.8 which will be the difference.

The 4.2's will be that same. So the patrol LSD Turoa has will work except if it is still in the diff its ratio is 3.9? Not 4.1 as hogy_'s probly is. So you may have to do some changing around.

it doesnt have a R&P or anything. I just offered it because its sitting under the bench gathering dust. It got pulled so it could be replaced with an ARB

try bruce hughes at hughes auto sevices, winton. they did have a special about $1750 incl compressor that was a while ago. i paid $2900 +gst for a pair front and rear with compressor, expensive but very good, the best part is you can switch them off.

Contact Supralux (Steve). Better hurry before prices go up though.

The catch is there is only an Auto locker available for the front diff. Nothing available for the rear.

BUT, i approached a company over in OZ and for $1200 plus shipping etc etc they reckoned they could make me one.

Never followed it up any further, decided to stick with the LSD untill a factory one came along

why not tighten up the pre load on the lsd? it would make it work like a locker. have a look at the aussie forums it is quite common over there.

Yeah the pinion bearing has got quite noisey, so rebuild time i will give it a go. Have "heard" from the skeptics that a tightened LSD doesn't stay tight for long.

Will see, depends what comes over from Japan for me 8)

So far the LSD and the front auto locker work well enough :D

Are you sure it's the pinion bearing, check the flange hasn't come loose.
How are your rear drive flange angles, do you need more G/B spacers

Yeah man, it's noisey between unloading and loading, and at anything over 110k's there's a wine aduiable over the road noise and exhaust.

Pinion bearing, but the rest probably need attention.

As for the drive shaft, yep its running some steep angles, but no worse than any other Safari with a lift. The UJ at the diff end has the shallower of the two angles and got adjustable upper radius arms to match it to the TCase end.
