Hilux Diff swap

Post by Filmz64 »

Gidday Fulla's and Fullesses,
I have a LN106 Hilux running a LSD in the rear, can I swap front diff for rear diff and visa versa, so I can put an auto locker in the rear and have the LSD in the front?

Cheers

Yeah, but I would seriously recommend putting an Auto locker in the front and leaving the LSD in the rear. This is how my LN65 hilux is set up and it goes awesome. I did try the locker in the rear when I first got it and it has a lot more benefit in the front.

Have a search on here and you'll find a few front vs rear threads if you haven't decided yet.

there was a thread on here the other day saying that you would need to trim the front axles a couple of mm to stop them binding with an lsd in the front
