Re: july 9th 10th
Put truck back together on saturday after changing CV during the week.
Helped out on the Ashhurst fundraiser run on sunday, all day up under the turbine's in the howling wind!
But well worth it to see kids (of all ages!
) faces lit up with smiles climbing out of trials trucks after a ride!!
Big thanks to the others who helped out during the day, and nice to meet a couple of people from ORE too!

Re: july 9th 10th
Was that caused by sitting on the rev limiter

sitting on the what??

only computerised shitters have those things.
and no, it lives life under 4k rpm where all the real power is.

Re: july 9th 10th
Not too much to report, spent Sunday in the garage replacing the waterpump, flushing radiator etc. Great success, it no longer leaks which is nice, new gasket probably would have done the same job but at least I know it is all good now.
Also removed a few metric tons of clay left over from last weekend, wheels may turn freer now lol

no, sadly. I did however consume copious quantities of boysenberry cider and some really cheap 'port' a.k.a headache in a bottle.
brilliant

Re: july 9th 10th
I am seriously considering bidding on another series landy to use as bush truck... am I losing my mind, are my memories purely romantic nostalgia? or are there truck loads of easy mods to make these more useful in the bush... it is quite cheap at the moment... not really the suzuki I was looking for though... gah.
Re: july 9th 10th
^ nobody will thank you for not buying one.
this looks like the weak spots are ironed out?
http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-ca ... 320055.htm
apparently (form what i've read) the diffs are a weak point. landcruiser diffs = fixes that issue.
there was a td27 powered one on trademe the other day that I was absolutely pining for. Doesn't seem to be there now. I totally should've bought it but that would mean the selling of a couple of my sweet old cars that I never use

Re: july 9th 10th
yeah, will wait and see what happens... if it goes for reasonable money it is probably not a bad truck... we shall see, I'm not desperate to own it but wouldn't mind another series... will have to hook up an A-Frame lol
Re: july 9th 10th
Oh, well... no new landy for me... too rich for my blood.
