2l Roller Rockers

My old 2l has roller rocker s. It cracked the head .I scored a whole motor for good price.It doesnt have roller rockers .Can i put my roller rocker valvetrain on the new head ?They are both alloy top engines .Cheers

sounds like you have a 2l(1) and a 2l(2). off the top of my head different valve train and different manifolds(?).
best thing would be complete swap, head, cam, manifolds.

I thought I should do that just to be sure.Is there any other differences ? better pump etc .Cheers

sorry i don't know what else is different. i don't know much on the early ones. hopefully someone else will chime in.

i would like to know why toyota went away from roller cam.
