Pajero 2.5 Heater/ Cooling Help!

Post by sharmann »

Hi everyone!

My first post, and the site looks great i must say.

Iv always had 4WD's and a few months ago i bought a 2.5 TD 1993 Pajero. It had an engine rebuild last year with new turbo, fuel pump, injectors etc.

The trouble is, the heater was always mildy warm both front and rear, so being the West Aucklander I am, i changed the thermostat. After breaking the housing etc, realising i had the wrong one and getting a OEM one, its still not heating up.

I have bled and bled it, flushed the system, pressure flushed both front and rear heater matrix thru the hoses with no luck (besides a lizard) which popped out while bleeding !! :?:

The temp gauge oly reads above cold slightly when engine is at 75c but wont go hotter. It had a new water temp sensor last year also.

Any ideas? I have taken to two garages who just cant be bothered with it. I need to fix it so I can start spending the money on modifying!

Cheers

Hi mate,

I have flushed the matrix front and rear pipes a couple of times now. Some sludge in it but it seems to flow ok now. The inlet pipe gets hot/ warm and outlet gets mildly warm.

Its driving me bonkers?
