scud electric windows- help please!

I am trying (and failing badly) to get the electric windows going in my skud '91 2 door.

Does any body know which wires are supposed to hot and which aren't ? when I plug in the master switch in the doors unlock.

I have tried both window regulators with direct power and they work. Is it because I have a short somewhere or because they aren't getting power or are they like the headlights that run positive all the time?? help

is there anything else I am missing??

any suggestion would be appreciated!!!

I never looked that far into it but I've gone through a couple switches in mine, one each side. Just swapped em for spares and it fixed it. If you havn't cut plugs off theres only one way they go together so test the switch itself and move along the circuit if your getting power there.
