23rd-24th July

Post by kbushnz »

I will start us off this weekend.

First thanks to Mike for doing the server change over...

Finally the truck can move out of the garage again. Hasn't been started since Easter !
And gave the garage a good clean out after all that winch mount cutting and welding.

Treated ourselves to dinner and movies... Both the kids at Nana's yaaahoo.

Now what else can I do....

Nice work dude  bet your champing at the bit to get out there and get dirty

As for me been a pretty quiet weekend. A mate of mine swapped his v6 petrol hilux for a dirty diesel hilux so within 2 mins of getting it back to his house it went up on stands and had a fresh pile of liquid gold shoved down its throat, a new set of lungs and a new fuel filter. We also removed the rear bumper, the flares, the spare wheel and anything else that was in the way

So my truck now has a complete twin so the race is on to have the highest, widest, baddest lux of the two 8)

Well the weather has been rubbish most of the weekend. So all I got to do was the ball joint flip on the front of the bighorn now all I need to do is get some new bump stops (smaller) so I can wind the front up a little more to level it out so I can get a wheel alignment. As the rear springs have settled and it only moved about 10mm so sitting on 90mm lift which im pretty happy about.

Went for a 3 day drive at the weekend

Was good to escape the rat race for a few days, missed the big snow dump last night though, we were prepared for it all weekend with extra gear and supplies, would have been fun!!!!!

Saturday:

Replace all body mount bolts some of the heads had come off so I decided to replace the whole lot, also finished wiring for the air horn.

Went out to the Bombing Range on Sunday to see how the gearbox would hold up, my truck went great had no Issues, was bloody windy up ther tho, and the place has changed a bit since I was last up ther the drop off has changed too.

Most of the hill climbs I attempted I managed to do :D

Sorry no Photo's was having too much fun and too windy.

All in all was a great day.
