I have a D27 diesel 91 navara non turbo , has anyone modified this model of engine am looking to maximise its power for some off road touring .

its a TD27 and get a turbo kit from a terrano, easy as
SASed Isuzu Mu - hilux diffs, Rears up front, disc brake conversion, ifs hub swap, crossover steering, and legal!!!!

Mine started life with no turbo. Bolted 1 on, wound it up, went like hell 
Found out later that the non-turbos have slightly smaller con-rods.
Hydrauliced it twice.
Now it's the only part of it that actually goes
Pays to change, thermostat housing, oil cooler and you have to replace a couple of bungs on the block to tails.
Exhaust manifold, inlet manifold and mod the existing exhaust to suit.
Wind up the fuel and it's off

I keep looking for the loose nut behind the wheel, but I can't find it!!
