What is the ruling here in nz with stinger type bars. is there any law on size or how far bar work protrudes from vehicle. in not talking excessively big....

Not allowed to protrude past the bumper line at all. :x I learnt this the hard way!!!!! :oops:

The problem (so they say) is that if you hit someone stupid enough to get infront of you then the bar will push them under the vehicle :roll: :roll: I rekon that that person would have a whole heap of problems other than the bar if they were in that situation :lol: :lol:

ha ha ha crazy rule aye even if the bar slants the other way you will never push someone over your bonnet when your bonnet is the same height as their head :lol:

I spoke to Rick about this and he said the rules are slightly different if you have a winch on the front. Haven't had chance to find any info though.

ARB Bars seem to stick out past the bumper line, so I say do it and find out later on :wink: :wink:

besides, are all WOF inspectors experts on factory bumper sizing :?:

Cant be bothered finding a good side on pic but mine is a fair bit forward (maybe 150mm diff between top an bottom) an the certifier down here didnt say anything at all about it
