All I know is.
nibs was cursing at that shifter the last time I was pedaling with him. A bit like hosehusler (Tim) was with his.
So it's good to see him make some mods to it before his next event he's entered in, "Pucker park Mud plug" on the 31st of this month?
The muppets he's used to show off the mods shows how serious he is on the, "Vomitron". Looking forward to seeing you in action with it in the coming months nibs.

I hope the muppets will be harnessed/cable tied in to "vomitron" for the event

could use em both rexo..

as pete touched on, when offroadin with the b & m shifter, its hard to switch gears quickly like tryin to change direction quickly in a speed section, as it has a lockin selector pin and stepped slider for a lockpin. refer pic 2 of prior post. also the starter would only work when the shifter was in the park position. really mint if ya stalled or something in a river, bog..

it'll be used at sheffield pete.. that'll be its virgin outing after a couple of mods..

water and the old distributor were a bad combo.. so out it went with a fond wave goodbye..
Image

then tapped an air line fitting into a 12v air pump to be controlled off a switch, manually for water excursions.. just to positive pressure the dizzy.. just to be sure..
Image

also tapped into the hei too...
Image

and then made up some new leads, fitted them and the new hei all up and started her.. woot!

workin on forbys builds up a hunger..

good grief!! this not so little dayum crossmember on the right has gotten me hung up numerous times... hangs down too far..
Image

there. that'll sort it.. made a new lower profile crossmember so as to leave clearance for the front driveshaft universal, driveshaft and also gearbox..
Image

oooomph!! then fizzed it in. the old one was so massively oogly and unhelpful. the ends were actually slightly open so it was full of silt and wet crap.. ended up bein heavy as a heavy thing..

to add to the previous post..

finished off the 10mm alloy skid plate... shaped it to best fit and miss driveshafts/autos etc..
Image

and all bolted up. ends up bein a lot more snug in there than the crossmember was before..
Image

also modified the air filter housing to clear the hei.. might get a pic of that another time.. also there was a crack in the filler tube for the auto/dipstick so mended that..
